For chemists & pharma distributors

A complete pharmacy, built in

Everything a medical store or distributor needs — fast counter billing, batch & expiry, Schedule-H and on-device pharma AI — on top of full GST accounting, inventory and banking. All offline, on your machine.

Counter billing, built for chemists

A dense, keyboard-first sale screen — code, batch, expiry, scheme, MRP and GST in one grid. F2 to save, print to an 80mm thermal or A4. Type the amount and the rate is worked out for you.

Batch & expiry (FEFO)

Every line auto-picks the earliest-expiry batch. Track batch, expiry and MRP end to end, with an expiry radar and value-at-risk.

Expiry Rescue

For each near-expiry batch, the single best recovery move — return to supplier, push to fast buyers, clearance or dispose — ranked by the rupees you can still recover.

Schedule-H / H1 compliance

Schedule-H, H1 and X warnings right at billing, prescriber (Rx) capture, duplicate-medicine checks and an audit-ready register.

Schemes & offers

Auto-apply the best buy-X-get-Y or %/flat scheme on every line, with free goods and scheme value tracked on the bill.

Salt finder & substitution

Search by salt or molecule to find every brand and a cheaper generic, see composition, and swap at the counter — plus manufacturer and medicine masters.

Drug-licence monitor

Track drug-licence expiry and get reminded well before you lapse.

Offline AI

Pharma AI — on your device

Expiry radar, scheme optimizer, salt substitution and doctor-wise sales — deterministic and fully offline. Nothing leaves your machine, no cloud, no per-question cost.

What this covers, and what it does not

It is a chemist’s counter, not a generic POS

Batch, expiry, MRP, scheme and GST sit in one grid because a chemist enters all five on nearly every line. A general retail till makes you tab through screens for the same sale, which is why counters that use one end up keeping a parallel register.

FEFO is the default, not a setting

Every line auto-picks the earliest-expiry batch. It is the correct behaviour often enough that making it opt-in would mean most shops silently sold the wrong batch for months before noticing the write-off.

Schedule-H support is billing-side

You get warnings at the point of sale, prescriber capture, duplicate-medicine checks and a register that stands up to inspection. What it does not do is validate a prescription or replace the pharmacist’s judgement about whether to dispense.

The salt finder is commercial, not clinical

It searches by molecule so you can find every brand and a cheaper generic, and shows composition. It offers no dosage advice, no interaction checking and no substitution recommendation — those are decisions for a qualified pharmacist, and the product does not pretend otherwise.

Expiry Rescue ranks money, not medicine

For each near-expiry batch it computes the best recovery move — supplier return, push to fast buyers, clearance or disposal — ranked by rupees still recoverable. It is stock arithmetic on your own purchase and sales history, computed offline.

All of it runs offline, in every plan

The pharmacy features and the deterministic Pharma AI tools are local — no connection, no model, no data leaving the shop — and they are in the entry tier. A single-counter chemist is not a smaller version of this customer, it is the typical one.

On a real accounting engine

Pharmacy sits on top of the full LekhaPro suite — so your counter, your GST and your books are one system.

GST & returns

CGST/SGST/IGST/CESS by construction, e-invoice & e-way bill, GSTR-1/3B and 2B reconciliation.

Real accounting

Posted double-entry ledger, day book, Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet a CA can sign off.

Inventory & banking

Live stock, weighted-average or FIFO and COGS; import any bank statement with auto-categorisation.

On-device AI

A Copilot, CFO and month-end assistant that answer from your books — offline, on your machine.

Pharmacy FAQ

Does it track batches and expiry and bill FEFO?

Yes. Stock is held by batch with expiry and MRP, and billing picks the earliest-expiry batch first (First-Expiry-First-Out). Expiry Radar ranks near-expiry stock by value at risk, and Expiry Rescue recommends the best recovery action per batch.

Is the Pharma AI online or offline?

Fully offline and on-device. Expiry Radar & Rescue, the Schedule-H audit, the Scheme Optimizer, salt substitution and the drug-licence monitor are deterministic computations over your own books — no internet and no third-party service.

Which plan includes the pharmacy features?

The pharmacy features and deterministic Pharma AI are part of the full offline core, included in every plan. The conversational AI copilots are the Enterprise add-on.

How does Schedule-H and H1 handling work at billing?

It is billing-side compliance support. When a scheduled drug is billed, the counter warns the operator, captures the prescription details and maintains the Schedule-H and H1 registers from those entries. What it is not is clinical software — it does not judge whether a prescription is appropriate. It keeps the registers straight so your pharmacist can focus on the pharmacy.

Will the salt finder suggest substitutes for an out-of-stock medicine?

It shows which items in your own stock share the same composition, so the counter can offer what you actually carry and compare MRPs. That is a commercial lookup, nothing more: it gives no dosage, interaction or substitution advice, and it never claims two brands are clinically interchangeable. Whether a substitute is appropriate for the patient remains the pharmacist’s call.

Is this a replacement for my pharmacist’s judgement?

No. LekhaPro handles the commercial side of the counter — billing, batch and expiry stock, Schedule-H registers, GST and the books. It does not diagnose, dose or approve prescriptions, and the Pharma AI computes over your stock and sales figures, not over patients. A qualified pharmacist stays responsible for every dispensing decision, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

Can it warn me before my drug licence expires?

Yes. The drug-licence monitor tracks your licence records and their expiry dates and flags renewals ahead of time, alongside the other deterministic Pharma AI tools that run on-device. It is a reminder computed from dates you enter — it does not connect to any government portal or renew anything for you, so the renewal itself stays your job.

What happens at the counter if the internet goes down?

On the Desktop Suite, nothing — billing, batch and expiry stock and the Pharma AI all run on your machine, so the counter never depends on a connection. On the Cloud Suite, the POS till queues sales offline and replays them with an idempotency key when the connection returns, so nothing is billed twice. Either way the queue does not stop because the broadband did.

Does it handle GST and e-invoicing for a pharmacy?

Yes. CGST/SGST versus IGST is decided from the HSN and place of supply at entry, so invoices are correct by construction, and GSTR-1, 3B and 9 plus 2B reconciliation come off the same books you bill from. e-Invoice (IRN) and e-way bill JSON are generated offline; pushing them live needs your own GSP connection, and the product never files returns on your behalf.

Which edition should a single retail counter choose?

Most single counters run the Desktop Suite: a Windows installer or portable build, a local SQLite database on your own machine, silent 80mm thermal printing and scheduled encrypted backups, with LAN client–server when you add a second till. It runs fully offline, and the licence carries a 30-day grace period when a renewal check cannot reach us. The pharmacy features are included in every plan on either edition.
