An “inside now” strip with per-row check-out, walk-in check-in that dedupes the visitor by phone, and a pre-registered queue you clear in one click. Check-in re-checks the watchlist and blocks a blacklist hit outright unless security overrides it — and the host is notified on arrival.
Badges, verification and an overstay sweep
Print a QR visitor badge at the desk, and verify anyone at the gate by scanning or pasting their pass token for an admit decision. An idempotent sweep — from the desk or overnight — closes out overstays, and the visit register masks ID numbers at the surface, showing only the ID type.
Gate passes that reference stock, never duplicate it
Material and vehicle passes run draft → approved → issued → partially returned → closed, with per-line return reconciliation by a pure engine that caps a return at the outstanding balance and ignores lines it cannot match — it will never invent stock. Each pass links to the delivery challan or GRN that owns the movement; the pack keeps no stock ledger and no GL of its own.

Is visitor management in the offline desktop app?
No — Visitor & Gate is a cloud marketplace pack, enabled from Business Add-ons. It does not run in, or sync to, the offline desktop edition.
Does a gate pass move my stock?
No, and deliberately so. A pass references the delivery challan or GRN that already owns the movement and tracks the returnable balance in quantities only. There is no second stock ledger and no ledger posting of its own.
Does it do face recognition or biometrics?
Not today. Screening is watchlist-based, and visitor photos and ID documents ride the document store. The data model is device-ready — the visit source and the visitor photo already exist — but face matching and device integration are not built, so we don’t sell them.
