Two editions, two security models
Desktop — on your machine
Your books live in a local database on your own computer and work fully offline. Automatic backups run on a schedule — AES-256 encrypted when you set a backup passphrase — and can be copied offsite to your own cloud drive. Nothing is uploaded to us as a condition of using the app.
Cloud — isolated per business
Every business runs in its own tenant, so your data is strictly scoped to your account and never mixed with anyone else. Access is over HTTPS, and you can export your data whenever you want — no lock-in.

Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your business data is never used to train models for anyone. Deterministic insights compute on your own data, and the optional AI copilot sends only a compact snapshot of the figures needed to answer your question, and only when you ask.
Where does my data live?
It depends on your edition. On the Desktop edition your books stay on your machine in a local database with encrypted backups. On the Cloud edition your data is hosted and isolated in your own tenant, scoped strictly to your account.
How are payments secured?
Subscriptions are billed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. Your card and payment details are handled by Razorpay and are never stored on our systems.
Can I export my data and leave?
Yes. Reports, ledgers and registers export to PDF and Excel at any time, and on Desktop you hold the local database and backups. There is no lock-in.
Who can see my books?
Only the users you invite, limited by the roles and permissions you set, with an audit log of changes. On Cloud, tenant isolation keeps your data separate from every other business.
What does tenant isolation actually mean on the Cloud edition?
Every query runs under a database role scoped to your business, and row-level security is enforced by the database itself — separation is not a matter of application code remembering the right WHERE clause. A session for one business cannot read another’s rows even if the application asked. Within that boundary, roles with per-screen rights decide what each of your own users can see and change.
What exactly does the audit trail record?
Changes to your books carry who made them and when, so any entry can be traced back to a person and a moment. Paired with per-screen role rights, that gives you both halves of accountability: you decide in advance what a user may change, and you can see afterwards what they did change — the record you want when an auditor asks who touched a figure.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
On the Desktop edition your books live in a local file on your own machine, and that file remains readable if your subscription lapses — access to your own data was never rented. On the Cloud edition you can export reports, ledgers and registers to PDF and Excel at any time, including before you leave. Neither edition holds your books hostage to a renewal.
What can vendor or customer portal users see?
Only a scoped view. The self-service portals exist so an outside party — a vendor or a customer — can see the slice that concerns them without becoming a user of your books. A portal login is not an account login: it carries no role inside your business, and it does not open your ledgers, reports or settings.
What security work stays with me?
Three things. On the Desktop edition, keep a copy of your encrypted backups off the machine — the offsite copy to your own cloud drive exists so a lost laptop never takes your books with it.
