Royalty billed right, every outlet, every period
A franchise operating system — territories and franchisees, versioned royalty plans, a draft → approve → bill run that posts to the General Ledger, brand-compliance audits and a marketing fund that stays honest. Enabled as a cloud marketplace pack.
The network, mapped
Territories form an exclusivity tree, brands sit under them, and each franchisee is a linked business partner — never a cloned record — with outlets tied to a POS branch so the sales they ring are the royalty base. Agreements register into the contract register on activation, and the statutory licence register tracks FSSAI, trade and fire expiries with a nightly sweep.
Royalty maths you can hand to a franchisee
A pure engine resolves the governing plan against the period’s sales base — percentage of sales, fixed, a tiered slab walk or a minimum-guarantee floor — plus the marketing-fund levy, in integer paise with rates in basis points and a largest-remainder slab walk whose parts sum exactly to the base. Every bill stores its resolved lines verbatim, so history survives a later plan edit.
Draft, approve, bill — and post
A run snapshots each live outlet’s sales base (POS-fed invoices win over the franchisee’s own submission, and the arbiter is stamped on every bill), you approve, and billing raises invoices through the sales spine and posts royalty income and the marketing-fund liability reclass to the ledger. Already-billed bills are skipped, so a re-run is safe.
Onboard, audit, replenish
An application funnel runs lead to live with financial, background, site and interview evaluations, then converts to franchisee, agreement and go-live checklist in one atomic transaction. Brand audits instantiate a weighted checklist, score 0–100 with an A–D grade and push findings into corrective actions. Replenishment turns outlet sell-through into indent orders that move goods through the core stock-transfer primitive — never a second stock ledger.

Frequently asked
Is franchise management in the offline desktop app?
No — it’s a cloud marketplace pack, enabled from Business Add-ons. It sits on the same billing, inventory and ledger spine as the rest of the cloud edition; it does not run in, or sync to, the offline desktop app.
What if an outlet under-reports its sales?
Every bill records which sales source it used, and where an outlet is POS-linked the invoices it actually rang win over the submitted figure. The dashboard also carries a deterministic radar that flags outlets reporting more than 30% below their own trailing average, or whose POS sales exceed the submission by more than 10%.
Does editing a royalty plan re-price old bills?
No. The resolved lines are snapshotted onto each bill when it is drafted, so a plan edit only affects future runs. The plan editor carries a live simulation, so you can prove a new rate card against a sales figure before it bills anything.
Can franchisees log in themselves?
Yes. The franchisee portal is a real external login — company ID plus the access token you issue, on its own session cookie and login rate limit — scoped to that franchisee’s own bundle.
What exactly is included in Franchise · Cloud edition?
territory tree, brands, franchisees and POS-linked outlets, versioned royalty plans — percentage, fixed, tiered slabs, minimum guarantee, live plan simulation, so a plan is proven before it ever bills, draft → approve → bill royalty runs, idempotent per bill, royalty income and marketing-fund liability posted to the General Ledger and sales-source arbiter — POS invoices over submissions, stamped on the bill, and 6 more. Every item on that list is a working screen you can open in the trial rather than a capability described in the abstract.
How is franchise · cloud edition handled differently here?
It rests on the network, mapped, royalty maths you can hand to a franchisee, draft, approve, bill — and post and onboard, audit, replenish. The distinction that matters is that these are structural rather than cosmetic — the behaviour is built into how records are posted, not layered on as a report you have to remember to run.
Does Franchise · Cloud edition post to the real books?
Yes, and that is the whole reason it lives in this product rather than beside it. What the network, mapped records lands in the same posted double-entry ledger the Trial Balance, P&L and GST returns are built from — so there is no second set of franchise · cloud edition numbers to reconcile against the first.
How does Franchise · Cloud edition affect my GST?
It feeds it directly rather than sitting alongside it. CGST/SGST and IGST are split from HSN or SAC and place of supply as each document is raised, so whatever franchise · cloud edition produces is already correct when GSTR-1, 3B and 2B reconciliation are drawn off the same books. The return matches the accounts because it was never a separate exercise.
Can I try Franchise · Cloud edition before committing?
Yes — 14 days, no card. Test franchise · cloud edition against your own masters and your own transactions rather than sample data: the questions worth answering here are about your business's edge cases, and a demo dataset is built not to have any.
Is anything in Franchise · Cloud edition generated by AI?
None of the figures. Everything the network, mapped produces is computed by tested engines and would be identical with the model switched off — what AI contributes is the sentence around a number and the routing that brings the right one to your attention. Nothing it writes posts to your books without your approval.
