Visitor Management System in Malaysia
Know who is on site, and what left the gate — a reception console, a masked visit register and gate passes for material. For a facility in Malaysia — Sales and Service Tax with phased LHDN e-invoicing.
What applies in Malaysia
The visitor management system runs in Malaysia exactly as it does anywhere else — it is browser-based on the Cloud edition and nothing in it is specific to one country's tax code.
What does not travel is the statutory layer. LekhaPro files Indian GST returns; it does not compute, file or e-invoice under Malaysian SST and LHDN e-invoicing. Businesses in Malaysia run it as an operations system and keep filing where they file today.
Amounts can be recorded in MYR, but note the limit below — LekhaPro ships display formats for INR, USD, EUR, GBP and AED only, so MYR totals currently render with the rupee format.
What a facility in Malaysia gets
- A reception console for pre-registration, walk-in check-in and one-click arrival
- Sites, gates, visit purposes, badge designs and a watchlist
- A visit register that masks ID numbers at the surface
- Gate passes for material leaving the site, returnable and non-returnable
- Host notification and an on-site headcount at any moment
Every capability above is the same one described on the Visitor & Gate feature page — this page adds where it applies, not what it does. Compare the Desktop and Cloud editions, or see pricing.
What it does not do in Malaysia
- No Malaysian SST and LHDN e-invoicing support. LekhaPro does not compute, file or e-invoice under it, and there is no roadmap commitment to. Statutory filing in Malaysia stays with your existing provider.
- MYR has no display profile yet. LekhaPro ships INR, USD, EUR, GBP and AED; other currencies are stored but formatted with the rupee profile.
- No payroll or HRMS. Neither is built, in any market. Staff costs are recorded as ordinary expense vouchers.
- The native mobile app does not exist. Field screens are responsive web, not an installed app.
Questions from Malaysia
Can a business in Malaysia actually use LekhaPro's visitor management system?
Yes, for operations. Know who is on site, and what left the gate — a reception console, a masked visit register and gate passes for material. It runs in any browser on the Cloud edition. What it will not do in Malaysia is your statutory filing: LekhaPro implements Indian GST, not Malaysian SST and LHDN e-invoicing. Most businesses outside India run it alongside a local filing tool rather than instead of one.
Does LekhaPro file Malaysian SST and LHDN e-invoicing?
No, and it is worth being plain about it: LekhaPro's tax engine is built for Indian GST. It does not calculate or submit Malaysian SST and LHDN e-invoicing. Everything above the tax line — the visitor management system, the documents, the reporting — works normally.
What currency will my documents be in?
You can record MYR, but be aware of a real limitation: LekhaPro currently ships display profiles for INR, USD, EUR, GBP and AED only. A MYR amount is stored correctly and formatted with the rupee profile, so the symbol and digit grouping will read as Indian until a MYR profile is added.
Is there a payroll or HR module for Malaysia?
No. Payroll and HRMS are not built — not for India and not anywhere else. Salaries and staff costs are recorded as ordinary expense vouchers and post to the ledger like any other payment.
